Made the mistake of accepting software upgrade and is now 3.42. If I format my PS3 will it go back to original version or is it forever 3.42. Any advice would be great

Sadly you are stuffed. It isn't likely that 3.42 will be hacked anytime soon and there is no going back. -
Are you sure about that because if you have just done it then it should be 3.50 not 3.42.Comment

boy wants ps3 for xmas, need to do jailbreak, prefer to buy new, what software do new ones comes with, looking on ebay about ?270 for 320gb console. can you give me an idea where to buy so i have one with 3.41 firmware, as said i prefer a new one, or a good second hand slim would do otherwise.Comment
