PS3 Mod

Hi all, Is it possible to mod a ps3 to play games from a HDD. Any help or advice is apreciated.

I've heard of a backup manager. But you need to downgrade your PS3's firmware if it isn't already at 3.41 (i think).
If you've got 3.50, then if i'm not mistaken you need to downgrade to allow you to run an exploit of the USB port of the PS3.

I'm currently trying to do the same and have ordered an E3 card reader that will enable me to downgrade the firmware. Look it up for more info.
