I have been thinking with all that has happened in the ps3 scene lately with it being hacked big time and Sony apparently having no way of fixing it without a change to hardware (There is even a custom firmware for 3.55 ps3 now)
Will the ps3 survive? I know the 360 and the wii has been hacked a long time and are still out there but I think this is different because It doesn't invalidate your warranty it's very cheap, and it's so easy my Grandma could do it .
Production costs for games these days are crazy apparently it costs $2 million to $30 million to design and produce a Playstation 3 game with some of the AAA titles costing even more Metal Gear Solid 4 $60,000,000 ,GT5 $80,000,000 ,GTA IV cost $100,000,000 according to Top 10 most expensive video games budgets ever - DigitalBattle.com.
How are these guys going get their money back when/if dongles (soon to be dongleless) become as wide spread as the R4 or the hacked psp.
The PSP has only had 16 full titles released last year. The PSP is terminal. Pay your respects while you can. | PLAY Magazine
