trying to update psp and does not work

hi there i have a psp and i trying to update it and i get a message saying "the game could not be started.(dadadadada) wot does this mean i have formated it and reset it and i cant link it to my ps3 can anyone help thx u

how are u tryin to update it? are u using custom firmware

i have tryed the update by just downloading it using the wifi that did not work so downloaded it on to the pro memo card and still had the same

no the update is the one i get fron the net form playstiaon not sure why it saying cant play game dadadada as i like to link to ps3 and i cant till i update it

could be because there is no umd inserted .. if your updating from memory stick put the starter pack umd in and try again

ok i try that now but idnt have the starter disc so i try any game see if that orks thx

if nothing else works use a pandora battery and memory stick to install the firmware.

fw is 3.40 OE-A and i think it is a1000 0r may be 2000 its a white one serila number fb4872359 and i sa psp- 1003 does that help

thanks thats super rite so its a psp 1003 im sure the fw is a cfw now what up date fw r u trying to put on2 it?
as im sure ur trying to update to far (ie from what ur on to say 6.20) so that will cause u probs the other thing is i dont think u can go back to ofw from cfw just like that without causing problems

what i think best for u to do is lookHERE & do as it says then get back to us if it works then ill get u on to the latis cfw homebrew

its not bricked at all look up the error codes its cause trying to update to far in 1 go

yes he can use pandora to do it but not ever1 got that
