i have got a 74850c of a friends dont know what firmware is on it the laser stopped working so bought a new drive but when i go to get key of old drive my ck3 probe wont light up so cant get key.is there any other way to sort it out and get the key,i also know theres no prob with the probe

If its LT firmrware thats on it you will need to MRA Hack to get the key.
Surely you have the dummy.bin from previous flash with key.bin etc.
This would make things a lot easier.

You can also just replace the laser in the old one?

Wait till the probe v3 is with resellers, grab one of those, and no mra hack is required.

i dont have the dummy or key as i didnt flash it,someone else flashed it and we dont know if he still has the dummy etc

Just get a v3 probe and redump the drive.
