no wirless found

i have just bought a xbox 360 for my son. can anyone please tell me how to connect wirless. as you might have guessed i am not very good with these things i have spent all day but its keep saying no wireless network found. by the way why is my ip adress saying 0.0 all te time. any help would be appreciated as this is my first post.

If it is one of the new black boxes you need to have your wireless on wep nothing fancy just basic . If it is a white older style there is a trick I used . If you have a laptop that uses your wireless already enable network sharing for another computer you can plug in the xbox to the cat5 plug on the laptop and plug in the xbox there really cool trick saves on buying thieir wireless adapter .

sorted for the moment. i rang customer services and after 3 attempts of rebooting router and x box it has picked up signals. its a new black 250gb .next question how do i play movies from my pc or laptop. thanks

Set it up on netwrok sharing. This will aloow you to play movies directly from your pc.
