do i still need probe to flash 74850C

hi peeps, just been looking at the new jungleflasher tut, little confused about the 74850C flash method expained, i have an old probe which i used for probing the R707/704??, point on the drive board, and all flashed fine, but according to the new tut i should probe another point on the drive, ie legacy method or phat method, dont really know what i should use to flash this drive, and i have lost the disc with the driver for probe,"R232 to TTL", can someone give me a little guidance understanding the latest methods, thanks again folks

Ok what probe do you have and also do you have the key for the drive? Is it the drive thats flashed? If so, to what firmware

If stock then the probe V1 and probing the R707 of the board will work. If ix before LT then eject tray half open and dummy from ixtreme. If LT(+) then either MRA or Probe V3 will be needed.

I used my probe v3 yesterday and is really easy to use

But if you have the correct dummy.bin you can flash straight away

Looking at the new JF tut i cant seem to find the R707 method, just the new phat method, could i revert back to an older JF tut and follow that, or does the phat method work ok with the older probe i have? i seem to have lost the disc for installing the driver for probe ie usb serial controller, its a home made probe but has worked well in the past

The feature is still there in jungleflasher. Try dvdkey32 button. As for drive for the probe. Its avail on team xecuter site. But to be honest. I'd invest in a v3 or make 1 from ur v1

No not yet, every slim i seen will have a 0225 which could be a while off yet due to it being hardware locked.

As for hardware, all you need is a compatable chipset for the 9504 but i have a x360usb and ck3
