xbox not working

cant play any games on my xbox when i put a game in it cant read it any ideas on how to fix? thanks in advance

Sounds like the laser has went in your xbox. Is it originals or backups you are trying?

Simply replace laser on drive and all will be fine.

thanks for reply all games are original xbox as not been chipped is it easy to replace the laser myself? or would i take it to a shop to be repaired?

Easy to replace. Drive opened and couple of screws.

Although if you dont feel confident enough a shop would maybe replace laser for ?15. As the lasers only cost around ?5 - ?7 mark.
