I will be updating my slim, to see if the dash updates the 0225 drive or not, there are conflicting information

someone could be messing around with the dates, it might not be yet but don't do it for now till we read more.

Wont make a difference, the revision of the drive is changed, once you update it. You will need to reflash back to LT+ with your key.

It cannot be written too mate, only drive that dont change with the update. The SPI is locked.

No news yet, and wont be until released. I wouldn't trust wiki with this info. TX and co will update us all accordingly.

I have read that people are saying that the 0225 is being updated, that would mean that the drive can be unlocked. The question is how how as it looks like that the 0225 fw is actually going to be going on a 9504 drive in order to play backups on a 0225 box

I aint seen any reports of the 0225 drive updating at all Paul. I have for the others though. The new 401 drive is also SPI locked too. I think MS are going down this route, to stop the drive being written too. They realise they cannot stop hacking the drive, but they can stop people writing to it...... For now!

I have seen a few posts saying it does. That's why I want to check as have dumped my drive. If it updates then there is a way to unlock the drive. Will report back when I get the update a d hook the drive up it could not update the drive but that would mean that xgd3 support was built into the 0225 firmware
