So when is this new dashboard update due? (UK)

So when is this new dashboard update due to be rolled out to us UK peeps that flashes our firmware back to stock?

When it does finally hit how long before a new LT firware is released to counter all the new AP protection that featuresin the new update?

    Anyone know?

    Short answer? NO

Only ms will know when the new dash hits uk, and as for firmware, only c4e will know

I've not been following this but the last I heard was it replaced your drive Key with a string of Zeros, meaning that if you do have have a copy of your Drive Key then the machine is a large paper weight.

I don't know how much truth is in this, probably a load of rubbish, but why let that get in the way of a good story.

The key location has changed on the newer FW thats why you the 0's. If you have a copy of your key then you should be fine. Jungleflasher will be adjusted acordingly and hopefully current dumping methods wont change to much.

Hey Witchy!! Not like you to be behind in the scene mate. Earlier versions of JF can still get the key apparently.

I'm pretty new to all this ..

i can just about manage to get my own 'back up's ' on disc myself ..

My xbox is one that was flashed about 1 1/2 years ago .. and i use a boot disc for my games even the new ones .. (LOVED LA NOIRE ).

Should i take this update, as i have had previous update's and been unaffected .. (though every year when the ban hammer coems down i usually take my console of line for 4-6 weeks)...

Was thinking about buying one of the flashing kits myself.. so if i take the update .. can i reflash .. to keep playin

                  or

can i take the update and continue as normal with my boot disc ..?

or shuold i just stay ofline when for a while .. Wanna be able to play the duke nukem game when it comes out ..

Though worst case senario i have a 250gb slim sittin there in its box still

When you install the new update the xbox will flash your drive back to original firmware and also change the location of the drive keys. If i was you i would hold of taking the update and waiting for the new firmware that is being talked about (LT+2). Atleast that way you wont need to mess about with boot dics.

                      Cheers ,

I was under the impressin using the boot disc is better as its less detectable ..

AS long as i can play my games its sound i think i will stay off live when the roll out starts ..

Just means cant use my sky player ..

Though i do have an unflashed 250gb black slim that is in its box :-)

And do a bit more reading and see what kit i need to get my box re flashed ..
would be cool to do my own instead of forking out for someone else to do it .. :-)
