replace drive as stock

a friends benq's gone down and he wants a new drive, i have his OFW, if i flash that new drive with the OFW, will it be a stock drive..??

Yes, if you flash a new BenQ then it will have stock fw. You can also use your OFW to flash a different brand of drive, except liteon, but I'd stick to a direct replacement.

Edit: unless of course the drive had previously been flashed with a hacked fw, then the read would still save as OFW, but it wouldn't be stock fw.

i did the read of OFW before i did any flashing so it is a stock FW. im gonna do a direct replacement of the drive..

did it a few times, swapped my broken drive with a drive from another box, and worked fine, after changing the keys
