3 red lights after flashing

I Have just had my 360 reflahed yesterday and when i got it home and turned it on i got 3 red lights.The guy that flashed it says that he thinks he might of not connected the drive when he put it back in and has told me to take it back to him today and he will sort it.My question is if he never attached the drive properly would this of given me 3 red lights or has he in fact knackered my console?What is strange is the eject button on the drive doesnt eject but if i press it when the xbox is off it powers it up , would that happen if the drive wasnt connected?

You would get 4 red lights if the drive wasn't connected properly.

So Does that mean hes knackered my drive then , i really hope not as ive paid 30 Quid to get it done , in future im going to buy the kit and do it myself on my laptop.Hes got it back at the min and im supposed to be getting it back tonight but with 3 red lights won't the drive red light again pretty soon?

?30! Are you serious!!!

I would of done it for ?10 mate. You got ripped off. If hes broken your drive/xbox, then I would say he owes you a new one. But thats my opinion.

could anyone tell me what would cause 3 red lights after flashing and if its fixable , my console is about 18 months old and is a light on drive, mfg 05/2009

i know but there isnt anyone else round here that does them , i want to learn to do them myself and am definatly gonna buy the kit for a laptop. He wont even give people there orig.bin so what would i need to flash it with a laptop , would i need a probe to get the key?

Go round and punch him in the face and demand your orig.bin. He obviously just wants repeat business from you.

coincidence or a scam you prob find the guts have been swapped for a heat gun fixed rod ! grip him and demand a fix

to be honest - it happened to me once after flashing. ive just took it apart and put it back together and all was good. dont know what happened.

if its a BenQ drive (which probably is as your console is pretty old) you dont even need a ck3 probe. its really easy actually using jungleflasher

Sorry i havnt been on 4 a while been busy with work.Acording to the guy that flashed it , he said a board on the drive had gone but he put a replacement in and up to now all is good , its just how long it lasts for that im worried about.And by the way its a liteon drive

so most likely he messed up your board mate and did heatgun fix - it may last a month, or may last a week - you never know as its a crap way of fixing it. sell it when it works and buy a used one. you can get these at about ?70 now.
