    XBOX 360 VGA

Basically my dad bought a flat screen 16 inch montor three years ago however he bought a new one so he gave me his old monitir. However it does work when connected to windows machine but when I use xbox 360 hd vga cable it lags like hell. It doesnt even lag when you turn monitor oj it is at the intro, then turn off then put back on and it on the dashboard it recognises the movements of the controller but doesnt show on skin until refresh monitor. Also i want to be able to do game saves however how can i update to the newer dashboard without harddrive in order to enable to use usb as a game saves. Any help please?

Update the dashboard via usb stick. Download the latest dash from here

As for your VGA problem. I cant see what it could be to be honest. My soon uses his on a 19inch monitor and it runs fine. Is the monitor old?

The lag could be caused by the monitor having a high response time, typically anything more than 5ms will result in lag when gaming, if I remember correctly.

Update the dashboard via usb. If you have a flashed drive then you need to make sure you have the key for the drive.
