    re flash prob.

ok continueing from my last thread, flashing problem.

i have the latest fw LTplus-025v1.9 using latest jungleflasher 0.1.84.

now i dont get the error msg when i click lite-on erase the prob i get now is once i erase is,

sending Lite-On Erase request to port 0x09E0
    .............................
    Drive returned status 0x80
    ..................................
    Device Intro failed!

ok, so i resent Intro/Device ID, and power cycle drive. this is what i now get?

sending Vendor Intro to port 0x09Eo
    status 0x80
    Re-sending Vendor Intro:
    ....
Serial flash found with status 0x72

sending device ID request to port 0x09E0
    Manufacturer ID: 0x0
    Device ID: 0x0
    Flash Name: Unknown type
    Flash Size: n/a

i still click the write button then it just says,

unknown flash type write aborted !

in the Flash Chip Properties it reads,

    Vendor ID: 0x0
    Device ID: 0x0
    Name: Unknown type
    Size: n/a
Type: serial flash with status 0x72.

also the drive is now in vendor mode but does not eject.i have also tryed re flashing with older fw but still the same prob happens.

i am keeping the drive connected to my desk top pc to wait for a responce. thanx.

What drive are you trying to flash? it sounds like you erased the firmware off the drive (thats why it wont eject) and its having a problem writing it back on. Make sure the drive is half open then push it closed about 2mm more just to make sure it is in vendor mode, restart your computer then when its all loaded and working make sure your cK3 kit is turned off start JF and wait for it to load then turn on the cK3 kit make sure your Drive is connected with the SATA also and make sure your SATA board is supported, I had trouble with this before. If all is well your drive should show up in the panel then just re-flash like normal.

      what you need to do.
hook the drive up to your pc, leave the ck3 turned off,
open jungleflasher, make sure you select the right io port. click intro-device id,
it might throw a pop up box up click yes then,
as soon as you click it switch the drive on.
it should find good drive properties 0x72 and the device id. winbond etc,

if that doesnt work resend the lo erase,
as soon as you see the dot's appearing in the info window at the bottom, turn the drive off then on as quickly as you can, within 1 second.
if you get good properties ,

      then write your firmware.

you usually get this error when you don't power cycle quickly enough.

Are you using a via card with drivers removed? If your using a VIA card then use the internal ports there are 2, try them both

          its a lite-on 83850c v1 drive.

i have connected my sata into a spare port on my pc. i have also re-set jf. i load the original dummy into the source and load the LTplus 1.9 into target, i then spoof source to target.ok, i now erase drive, status 0x80,
i cant understand why it fails device intro? and why all the flash chip properties keep on coming back like i have mentioned above?

the only thing what i can see different in jf to what i have, is that in the ,source, the OSIG: (PLDS DG-16D2s 8385) and in the ,target, OSIG: (PLDS DG_16D2s 0251)
to my knowladge the reason why they dont match is because of the new dash update?

Yes but I think your getting the errors is because of the sata chipset your using. You could either try another sata port on the board or get a via card. I have a spare somewhere I think
