Xbox won't power on.

I have been giving an xbox 360 from a friend that he says will not turn on.

I have plugged it all in and the psu light is red, so i tried with 2 diferent psu's and they lit orange but still no power to the xbox.

I have checked the usb slots and they seem to fine and have searched for a good hour on the net but not found anything that has worked so far.

Anybody got any ideas as to what this cause is or could possibly be please?

Sounds grim mate. I got given 1 that had a power surge and the power brick would be orange, when turned on, it went red regardless what i did.

Something is blown or shorting on the MB. The PSU has an inbuilt protection mechanism. If there's a short on the board, it will light red and stop you from firing it up. I've seen the same thing happen after some dodgy soldering during JTAGing.
