SOFT MOD FOR 360

hi guys ive soft modedthewii and am well chuffed with the results but now if been given an xbox 360 elite and lokking to soft mod that if poss ive tryed looking for threads but cant seem to find a guide any help would be great

Get the latest version off there. You will need to find out what drive you have before you can mod it. Also depending on drive you will need extra equipment. And finally you will need the latest firmware pack available.

nice 1 it does not have a drive so what would u recommend and what extra stuff would i need ? is it the same sort of princible as the wiias all my games are on external hard drive via usb

no it;s slightly different to a wii u have to flash a different firmware to your 360 dvd drive to enable it to play backups.

some older 360's can be modden via a jtag to enable games to be played via a hard drive but these are very rare.

If you say it don't have a drive? You mead hard drive or dvd rom?

If its missing the dvd rom and you do not have the drive key then jtag or reset glitch would retrieve it for you

the disc drive does not read discs and the hd was missing when i got it mate but i would really like to play games through external hd like i do with my wii but if thats not an option its no biggy but how do i know what age the 360 is and how to tell if it can play games through external hard drive im not bothered about live play and that .

Look on the back of the xbox for the mfr date to check the age.

As regards to play games from external hdd then its going to need a jtag type hack. Read up on the reset glitch
