This is a copy and paste job from elsewhere but wait for Cunny to reply he knows his stuff

So you're trying to flash your drive in jungleflasher and you get "drive intro failed" or Jf freezes when you do liteon erase, and your drive is not responding?

    Here's how to fix it

Firstly make sure you have your:

    original dummy.bin
    ixtreme firmware for your drive

    and a usb flash drive

Step 1: open Jf and choose Firmware tool 32, select "open source firmware" and select your ORIGINAL dummy.bin. A message box will popup and promt you if you want to load ixtreme to source buffer, select yes.

Step 2: Select "save to file" and save it to your desktop (DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME)

    Step 3: Download Dosflash16, l-o-eras.exe google it

Step 4: follow the tutorial here to make a DOS bootable usb drive google it

Step 5: extract the files and place Dosfalsh16.exe and l-o-eras.exe into the root of your usb. along with your lite_CFW.bin

Step 6: restart your computer with the drive switched off and open your boot menu (usually F. select your Usb Storage device

Step 7: power on the drive and type the following, DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING I WRITE IN BRACKETS

l-o-eras.exe <insert the name of the i/o port your drive is connected to here> (if your i/o port begins with 0x or similar type it in without the 0x)

    <press F3>

(if you do not se FF72 or 0072 then your drive is powered off)

Step 8: turn off the power and write "dosflash"

Step 9: turn the drive back on and press "y"

Step 10: select the number, which represents the port your drive is connected to and hit enter

    Step 11: press "w"

    Step 12: type "lite_CFW.bin"

Your drive is now flashed and fully functioning

I just read this, could help you
open JungleFlasher and go to the MTK 32 tab. When there, make sure you drive is powered on, and select the correct I/O Port. It wont say it found anything, so I hope you wrote down what I/O Port you were in. If you didn?t, just go through each one

On the right hand of the screen, there is a Flashing Task section, click on Intro / Devide ID. This will load your erased drive.it will say if you wish to resend the command you should click yes, power off the drive, and then back on within 1 second

you?re going to have to go back to the FirmwareTool 32 tab, load the firmware again

Using same port you had your drive connected to, power off drive. Click device intro/id power on and your drive will be there.

I'm guessing your using a VIA6421 card with drivers installed. Remove these to aviod the VIA freeze

Flash as normal but remove your laser ribbon

Or you can go down the dosflash method in this guide

Just hope you have your key saved

If this ever happens to you, and you have your dummy.bin ect.

Just send device intro id to the port the drive is connected to, then power cycle the drive. It should then respond wioth status 0x72 (vendor mode)

But this issue only really effects the VIA users, other chipsets dont have this issue
