updating dashboard on console banned from live

My brother inlaws console was banned from live a couple of years back so he cant update his dashboard so he is having trouble playing the latest games.

So is there another way to update the dashboard and if so how?

go on Xbox 360 Software Updates | Xbox Troubleshooting | Xbox Support - Xbox.com and download the update for usb and install that way

Depends on dash, it will more than likely flash the drive to a new stock fw, meaning that you will have to reflash the drive again to a cfw.

Watch that its not a spoofed drive inside the xbox or the update will fail
