being kicked back to dashboard

hi all, a friend gave me a an elite to flash with PLDS DG-16D2S drive in. it was flashed before and he updated it from an original gears disk, since then he cant play any game. whenever it try to load the game it goes straight back to the dashboard. could this be a laser issue? i've flashed it with 2.0 and it does say play game on the dashboard but it doesn't show the game picture.

I'll post the logs when I get home, it did this before the I flashed 2.0.

Ok then just make sure keys ect match.

Clear system cache ect see if that helps

all sorted now, i spoke to my mate earlier and heres the story. i flashed it with lt+, then he gave it someone else to flash 1.9. so when i flashed 2.0 i put in the key that i extracted. that didnt't work, i found the saved file from the lt+ flash and used the key from that and it works now. i don't now where the guy got the other key from. my mate reckons it worked but i dont think it would with the wrong key. thanks for your replies.
