help with 360 slim dvd drive

hey guys,

i got a new slim last weekend, and gave to my regular guy to flash, but he said it couldnt be done as t was a 4.5 version? the manufacture date is july this year, does sound right, if yes does anyone know when firmware will be out to flash it, or could i change my drive to one that is flashable.

Do you know the exact model and fw revision of the drive?

nope, all he said was it was a version 4.5 i tried opening it up using your guides, but i couldnt get clips off, so gave up

Means nothing to me that. There only 2 drives not flashable. Until you get drive info you won't be able to tell
