Do i throw my Drive away in a fit of rage?

i am all new to this xbox stuff so as you can imagine i am f*ckin useless

hooked up my drive to the pc had it detected once, tried to flash it but JF froze, now my drive doesnt get recognised. so i am stuck! thinking of throwing my drive through the window and going to watch footy and never look at it again!

i have my drive hooked upto my pc via a via sata control card as cant get hold of an xbox360usb pro for love nor money!

Go back into the jungleflasher Documentation. In there there is a point about how to properly disable drivers if you are trying to flash a liteon. I also have problams if i dont have the ck3 and drive turned on before i boot my pc

i have done that and disabled then enabled the via card, it did originally find the drive, but JF crashed half way through so now the drive doesnt eject or anything!

Try. With drive turned off. Send device intro to the port where the drive is connected. Power on the drive. Should come back with status 0x72 vendor mode

hi i tried that! i obviuosly did a bad flash when JungleFlasher stopped working! so i dont know how to recover my drive!

So i am going to give up! i have been able to sort dreamboxes and mod a wii and iphone but didnt envisage the Xbox would beat me! but seems like it has,

Do what marti said to recover the drive. Liteons can't be bricked from flash. With power off send device intro to the same port you were using then power on to get vendor mode back.

If that fails try liteon erase again at same port if it will let you.

Btw just have your firmware prepd first

i have this problem with jungle flasher only use it to prep my fw then use dosflash. have you tried the program l-o-eras that will bring your drive back round

This issue usually arrises when drivers for via ain't removed correctly. If you use jf to prep and dos flash to flash the drive as stated it will work just right. I have posted a guide on how to do this

that is all i can say! i have messed about with this drive for 5 days and finally got it working and flashed! i pull out the sata cable and its pulled the ****in end off from the dvd drive so i can connect it to the xbox or anything!!!!!

Can i buy another board for it? or is this drive now ****ed for ever?

Could you post a pic. If you screwed the drive you might need to get another 1. As long as you got the drive key before you bust it you will be ok with another drive.

its the sata connection that has pulled off of the PCB CIRCUIT BOARD i can buy another board for about ?8.00 i think!

Will this be ok to use in the drive i have?

When buying another board just make sure you get the correct board for your drive. You will just need to learn how to be a bit more calm. Ive put my fist through a couple of boxes but once you finaly get it flashed and sorted you will sit back and say hey that was realy easy.

i have managed to fiddle with the connector and got it back on!

i have put the drive back in the xbox and it still wont read fifa 12! which was the whole reason i started this process !

i will reflash the drive to new fw and see if that helps me out

looks like i will have to buy the new pcb as the connectors are buggered by the looks of things!
