You need to do that, sounds like the drive band could be worn

                Its not the laser mate.

When you press eject give your 360 a little tap on the top of the drive and it will open.. you need your drive replacing kid.

Ok try this, on the drive opening mechanism there is a small rubber band, prob 1cm or so in diameter. Take it off, and put it in a cup of hot water for 5 mins, it will tighten it up a bit. Take it out, dry it off and then fit it back on and put it all back together.. will work for a bit longer

mine used to be temperamental on opening until i took the drive apart and cleaned the rubber band and drive cogs with a cotton bud

Yeah it can help it out last a bit longer, obviously replacing the band is a better idea. Id rather just replace the drive to be honest. But if its an old drive that causes another problem of being able to find a `new' old drive.. now that spoofing is kinda out the question..

You can buy refurbed drives from a few places. Think I paid 20 for 1. But the drive bands are a few pence so I'd replace that first off.
