EA Games Not Working??

Anyone else having this problem?

I've tried:

• Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - GAME FREEZES AT MENU & AT EA CONNECTION
• Battlefield 3 - SAME PROBLEM
• The Sims 3 - AGAIN, SAME PROBLEM

I'm sure it's something with the EA servers, but does anyone know a way around this?

Now, it's down to the how can my kid play his games in the mean time while their servers are $hit.
