Ok, I try signing in then immediately: "cannot connect to xbox live". I tried test connection or troubleshoot and each time it doesn't work at all. It just gives the red x between 'xbox 360' and 'network'. The test failed says "can't obtain ip address from router or modem, then it says to turn off and wait 30 seconds then turn it back on and it works but then if i turn it off (after i get it work finally) it will mess up again. It follows that pattern of ABBA where 'A' represents the times I get it to work. How can I fix this?!?!?!?

are you saying it works sometimes but not other times?
do you use a router or direct from the modem?Thank Me If I Help You
