i have been out of the whole gaming world for some time,the last gaming console i had was the playstation 99,so its been awhile, but my parents agreed to buy me a game system for christmas, but im not sure which one to ask for between the xbox 360,playstation 3, or the wii, i really like the wii because its hands on ,but i know xbox has kinect and playstation has move motion, so basically my question is which is the best out of all 3, and what are the differences between them ?

i wouldn't advise getting a wii...been there done that, twice now! The novelty of it wears off sooo quickly.
Though i have just bought a 360 and it hasn't been played in a month also (suppose having a baby takes up a lot of time)
xbox will always be my choice, and as you have posted your thread in the xbox section im guessing the majority vote will be for the 360
think i just need to find the right game and ill be playing it again

I have all 3, my 3year old daughter plays the Wii the most, I prefer the 360 and I only use the ps3 for films.Comment

We have 3 xbox's, had a ps3 and a will (wii now in loft)

wii got used for first wfew months then neovelty wore off
xbox got boring, found myself playing ps3 more often
decided to keep ps3 because, of the media capabilities, music, movies also bluray , upgraded the hdd upto 640gb also the game releases for ps3 were more suited to mesigpic

kid has ps3, always had a playstation, never really asked for a xbox
like the look of the kinect and wouldn't mind 1 but we had a wii and the novelty soon wore off
so pick 1 n stick to it
