What can I do to keep my xbox long-lasting?

I had got a brand new xbox 360 slim because my original one broke and now I always worry if this one would die down. What can I do to prevent any damage, or possibly red ring? And be able to play it for a long time.

Keep it clean,hoover it out once in a while

unfortunately opening the console to hoover inside invalidates any warranty you have.

keep it well aired by not placing it near or enclosing it in a cabinet. place it flat .if possible invest in a external fan that is manufactured by xcm i think aprox 49 quid.
