Question about media streaming from my computer?

Hello everybody just a question question

I have a computer and an XBOX, the computer is connected to my router wireless and my xbox is through Ethernet cable okay so.. I read that I can stream media from my computer, your windows folders 'music, pictures and videos' straight to my xbox or other media whats on the 'same network as mine' but the thing is, I live with other people connected to the same network through wireless, so this means they can use their XBOX.. whats connected to my router through wireless and access my files through a stream? if so how can i stop this? or at least have some security and privacy.

    Please someone help

windows media is how u set it up pal. it will ask for a code off your xbox so that only your xbox or the xbox that has had its code put in windows media can see files.
