What route shall I go with this?

Right I have two phats one with a liteon and the other with a hitachi 47.

Just signed up for family live and want to connect both box's at the same time on different tv's so i can join my boy on mw3.

I have one original of mw3 so will need to burn one off - what box should I play the backup on? should I update the fw to lt+3 on the liteon and play the backup on there or should I play the backup on the hitachi which I believe has 1.6 or 1.51 on it.

So original on the Hitachi and flash liteon to fw 3, is fw 3 pretty safe online? as obviously dont want to get a ban now that I have a family pack live which i only paid for yesterday.

I have d/l and installed abgx 1.06, when i click on help and then about it says its v 1.02. Is this right?

Tep the GUI aint been updated. As long as it reads XDG3 then u shoul be safe.

The reason i'd go with liteon is they hitachi always last and wait a while for new fw, he done 3.0 for benq an liteon, now moved to slim but not done 78/79 for hitachi.

But to be fair it wont need it in your case. I just hate shitashi drives, they have no room for errors.

remeber 3.0 was only released to counter AP2.5 that your shitachi 47 cant do so 2.0 will be latest fw

So if i update the hitachi to fw2.0 will it be ok playing backup xdg3 on live? or shall i just leave it as it is with the original in it and us the liteon with fw3 to play the backup

I thought the hitachi was quite good especially when ms did stealth update last year which put fw back to stock but it didnt affect my hitachi.

I'd still go down the liteon route but update bith boxes.

That want a stealth update. Was an update for xdg3 for those drives that needed it.

The liteon has newest fw an also uodated quickest for cfw when needed

personaly I'd use the hitachi for backups, just because it doesnt do any civ checks, so ap25 / topology data dont matter 2 bits with a hitachi or sammy, (never has.) but hitachis WONT play truncated backups. its also an older box probably non-hdmi, still it's down to your own personal preference.

Well this is what i was wondering about the hitachi will it play the xdg3 backups fine online and be relatively safe as it has been the box that doesnt seem to be affected by stealth updates and stuff and theres no need for all this ap2.5 problems.

Which is the safest for playing xdg3 online - hitachi with fw 2.0 or liteon with fw 3?

SOrry if i seem to be asking the same question again but in a different way but i need to be sure, I know nothing is 100% safe

Right hitachi now fw 2.0 and liteon fw 3.0 :-)

I take it with this new ABGX there is no need to patch with the topology as ABGX will do it for me?

Do I need to keep the changed advanced settings when burning i.e force HT:yes, online HT:no, overspeed:no, smartburn:yes
