    Final Fantasy XIII 2

Hi guys-i've just got the game Final Fantasy XIII 2 and burnt it in the usual way(Img burn-truncate) but when I tried to play it I got disc not supported error. Is it just a bad burn or do I need to update my firmware again-i think I'm currently on iextreme 2.0(last done about oct 2011) I never play online and I'm a complete dunce with all this firmware stuff and its my son who plays the most so any info greatly appreciated

Firstly. Truncate should not be used.
Secondly. Latest fw out is 3.0 to support topolgy data
Thirdly. Wait for topology patches from abgx

I advise getting a i-has series drive, flash it with burner max fw to aviod truncates.

Yes topology data is used to defeat the ap2.5 checks instead of just patching per dash as ms can change challenges over live,

There is a generic XDG3 patch for XDG3 you can try that for the game and truncate but i'd defo get a new burner.

What drive is in your xbox?

The burner will burn all XDG3 titles correctly. So would benifit you in the long run. But to answer your question. No probably not, it will need a reflash of your drive.

Thanks cunny-it looks like a reflash and a newdvd burner then-I wonder how long this will last for-i only did it before in october!
Like I stated I never go online-probably banned anyway! All the games I got up to xmas Saints row 2 etc worked fine.
I wonder if Darkness 2 will require reflash.
Is the idea that you run the games thru latest abgx and it injects the topology data for you?

Yeah mate. But if your banned then why not look into getting it RGH (JTAG) run your games from a usb HDD ect. Worth looking into it. I dont burn myself any games now and transfer games VIA FTP or plug usb into pc.

But the idea behind the topology data is to respond to what ever the dae.bin asks in regards of ap2.5 checks.

So once the update to 3.0 and you get the topology data injected it should not really be a problem
