quick question for the experts please...

Okay so I got my xbox flashed 2 months ago with what I assume was the last revision of the v2.? LT+ firmware as I know v3.0 came out on Xmas day and I have the one before that.

I'm also using the last dashboard update that came out before the current Metro themed one.

I just downloaded Soul Calibur V, ran it through ABGX360 and burnt it on to a Verb disc on my LiteOn iHas burner with modded firmware.

Soul Calibur throws up a message about not being a verified disc or something along those lines so I just want to know what I need to do to get new games working on my console.

I've downloaded a few other games that are a few months old and they work fine but Soul Calibur V doesn't and I'm itching to play it.

Can anyone please help and tell me what I need to do please?

Simple. Upgrade the drive to LT3.0.

is that the only option, upgrade to v3.0? Just means I'll have to spend another ?35 getting it re-flashed

It's the older phat model black Xbox elite with a Lite-On (yellow wire) drive. I had no idea new games wouldn't work as I only had it flashed a week before Xmas and v2.x was the only version of LT+ available at the time.

Will the copy of Soul Calibur V work after I've been flashed to v3.0 or do I need to re-burn it afterwards with added topology data?

If it makes any difference this xbox is never taken online and I also don't know if I need to have the latest dashboard update applied to it???

Dont pay ?35 for it hardly worth it.

You will have guys locally doing it for ?10.

You could read up in here on how to flash via DOS but then i think whoever done your box first time wouldnt have gave you the key. If you have the data for the drive then your lauging. A good read and within minutes your box will be done.

To play the games you need the topology data the dashboard will force update to play em i think.
anyways, for the ap25/ap26 challenges you now need v3,,, not all games are in this bracket, and you will be able to play the non ap25 games although dont be fooled because a game update could activate it for some games.
(fifa is example of this )


-edited, i ment xgd3 games,,, you need the v3 for the xgd3 games,, if you get the unsupported disk error you have the silent update on your dash

Thanks for the help guys - got it flashed to LT+ 3.0 and now have the latest dash installed too

All I need to know now is this - am I right in thinking that there are some games now that have to be re-burnt and patched through ABGX360 v1.0.6 to get them working on LT+ v3.0 ???

If so can anyone point me in the right direction of a list of games that will need to be re-burnt please?

The console in question isn't connected to live so not sure if that makes any difference?

yes indeed. xdg3 games need reburnt... gow3. mw3. battlefield3. forza. are some coming to mind sorry from memory browsing on phone right now
