noob needs flash slim xbox

FW;ver; 0225 HW Ver; A0A0 ,dashboard 2.0.14719.0
Please ..which firmware I can use for flashing and which cables I need to buy?It is possible to flash vith laptop or I have to buy pc?Thanks

Dont think you can flash that drive mate the chip on the pcb is locked and cant be written to, i have the same drive but i bought an "unlocked replacement pcb" board from an xbox modding site and replaced the locked one and then you can flash whenever you want, also google the " kamikazee hack" if you are confident enough to tinker with xbox.

Both those tools would be a big help. Before you ATTEMPT the kamakazi you will need to extract the dvd key. As cunny has already said follow the jungle flasher tut. It will explain how to extract your dvd key using the x360pro and the ck3i.

What i cant get here is that you aint read what we told you to read. No probe is needed to get the key from the drive. Use the slim key function in jungleflasher. Again READ the JUNGLEFLASHER TUTORIAL.

All you will need is in this.

As for replacing the SPI to that, you would STILL NEED THE DRIVE KEY FROM THE ORIG SPI. This takes 2 mins with jungleflasher. Once you have the drive key, do what you like. Kamikaze the PCB, replace the SPI or buy unlocked PCB

ypu dont need any special tool for kamikaze you chip on Lite-on Model DG-16D4S. just connect your drive to a computer power suply ( +3.3, +5V, +12V and GND) ( i use external power suply because the xbox power will go off after aprox 5 minutes )

Power on you you drive connected to a usb to SATA for 10-15 sec. then move the sata cable to computer Sata port ( drive still powered) and drill it. use unlockspi.exe ( but first use jugleflasher to determine on witch port is your dvd drive on computer, ex: CC00 in my case )
