All phat consoles can be flashed.

Take the front off, and check out the wire colour of the drive.

Red = samsung
None = Hitachi
White = Benq
Yellow = Liteon

do i need a probe its a liteon drive

Yes Probe v3 and probe the mpx01 point of the PCB (thats the easiest option) You could attempt a MRA but this will involve trace cuts and soldering. Easiest and safest Probe V3
