    HDMI shows screen in yellow.

    Hi my brother has just giving me his xbox to have a look at.

    If i plug it in using the composite leads it shows up fine but when using a hdmi lead the screen is yellow?

    Any ideas?

    Update i have just changed some settings in display to 1080i when connected with composite and now when connecting with the hdmi i get just a black screen??

      tried a different hdmi cable,or is the hdmi socket damaged.

          Yeah tried different cable and different tv, hdmi port looks to ok.

          I'm not that fussed about getting it fixed as it works flawlessly with the component lead its just more of a bugging issue and was wondering if anyone had came across it beofre and succesfully fixed it.

                  maybe its conflicting with some other device you have plugged into your tv. Maybe a pc or laptop ?? Try unplugging all other devices from tv

                      Same problem here!

                      Dave, were you able to solve the problem? I'm having the same problem right now! Everything is yellow via hdmi. I accidentally upscaled the resolution too much on my new tv. After that the screen became yellow and didn't return to normal.
                      The weirdest thing is that on another hd-tv it works, so the output cannot be broken. We tried a different hdmi cable. But that didn't help. With the composite output there is no problem.

                      So I'm really wondering whether you were able to fix this problem! Thanks for your answer!

                          Welcome to DK Please read the rules.

                          Have you tried down scalling the output on your TV or resetting the system cache

                          Maybe try running the setup wizzard if you can
