I had a flashed xbox 360 which got the rrod I used x clamp fix and it worked for a little while but now hass the e74 so today I bought a new xbox 360 , what I wanted to know is can I swap the drive from my old xbox 360 (Hitachi) to my new xbox 360 (lite on) I need a flashed one as I bought two new games online for it , many thanks.

You can't do a straight swap because each DVD drive is linked to the Xbox it's installed in by a key , you can"spoof" a drive to work in another xbox console using "jungleflasher" (I'm not sure you can do it with a hitachi drive though), but you would need some tools to get your keys from your 2 drives so you can spoof the hitachi key to lite on drive ( if possible) ,And won't work on Xbox slim consoles.

Using a spoofed drive WILL get you banned. You would be better getting your new xbox (liteon drive) flashed if it is flashable because there still is not an up to date fw for the hitachi

Before we get ahead of our selfs with the flashing. The new Xbox that you bought is it a slim. If it is how old is it. If you bought in within a couple of months you may not be able to flash it. Have a look on the back for a lot number and post it with your serial number. And could you also take a photo of the drive tray open

Ok you would be best to get this 1 flashed. Although it may seem like its not worth it but you might be better buying some flashing tools. the fw changes a fair bit on the drives so if you pay someone ?10-?20 each time it can soon mount up. Also if you have the tools you can then charge your mates and make a little bit of cash

Lol I see , well o got mine flashed tonight by a guy did it on 20 minutes while I waited 15 pounds , not bad and gave me a free game and if it needs updating he does first 2 free but o will need to get tools , where do I get them and what ones
