I was playing fifa last night. played one game and was just about to buy a new player when my screnn went blank. xbox was still on and humming away. thought ok, no problem. turned off, checked connections and loaded back up. same thing again. disconnected and left for half hour before trying again. this time the screen froze as the xbox logo appeared and then the dreaded red lights. cue me on knees, fists clenched, imploring and cursing to the gods and Bill Gates.

It looks like it's time to either:
1. Return Xbox to MS for repair/replacement.
2. Perform X-clamp fix.
I would return to MS if at all possible. You never know, you might get a Jasper.
If your Xbox is modded, you will need to check that the warranty sticker is still intact. I'm not sure if it would be necessary to flash back to original firmware.
