Buying a new Xbox 360-Best price please

Looking to buy a new Xbox 360 with 250gb.
Does anyone know where there are any good deals and do the new Xbox still suffer with the red ring of death.

On the new slim they are only garunteed against RROD or E74 for 12 months. Not to sure if they suffer the same faults as the old Phats but have seem them dead in display cabinets where there were no cooling.

Often wonder where ppl find this wealth of info
So whether its matt or gloss its the same Xbox360 as long as it says slim?
They say the newer ones name less noise.
Already got 3 in the house,one in bits,one with 3 rrod and the other is fine but with 4 kids not enough.

To reduce the noise, instal games to the HDD, elimates allot of drive noise and strain on laser.

The one in bits i bought a clamp kit and that fixed it for a short time but after countless goes gave up the ghost.

The other one is a banned console and they are all my lads.
Think it comes with just 3 rrod but nothing on the screen.
Never attempted to try and fix this one,its one of the older models.
Think its a white premium if that helps.
Are these clamp kits more successful nowadays?

The secondary codes will lead you to the problem, the 3 RROD are just general fault code - Hence secondary codes.

Not all fixes are perm, they do tend to go again sooner or later. Somtime could be best sending fro a proper reflow - reball not just cooking it with a heat gun

The one in bits did have the E74 Code from what i can remember.
From what i can remember this one was just put tp bed and i bought another.
Half tempted to have another go with a clamp kit cos they only a couple of quid.

You could always buy the limited edition Star Wars bundle and flog the white Kinect sensor and Star Wars Kinect game on Ebay like I did last week if you want a real funky XBOX option?

It even makes R2-D2 bleeps n whistles when you power on/off and open/close the disc drive, quality!

I've bought from shopto.net before, they are a genuine & sound company. They also sell through ebay and have sold 0000's of items with very high positive feedback. I would buy direct though as it more than likely will be cheaper, ebay are pretty damn greedy when it comes to fees.
