    sata bios help with ihas124 b rev

    hey guys , my b rev arrived this morning perfect , my motherboard is old so i bought a molex to sata converter from maplins for ?9.99 , cable fits great , i have two slots on the motherboard , one blue , one black .......which one do i use? as iam new to sata , also ......my onchip sata controller is set to disabled in the bios , do i change to .....native , raid , or legacy mode? your help is much appreciated thanks.

    on your motherboard the sata ports normaly have numbers. i fyou have 0 and 1 then it goes in 0. it shouldnt matter though. from the top of my head i think your bios should be raid but i could be wrong

      Ok cheers I've installed new drive and its now picking it up fine , my query is now this AHCI mode , I don't know where it is or how to disable it as it could cause problems when flashing , cheers again.

        Ok I'm on sata 1 so that clears that up.
        But there seems to be no AHCI settings to enable\disable it
        All I have is onChip sata controller , when I press enter it says .... Options

        Disabled
        Native mode
        Raid mode
        Legacy mode

        At this moment in time I'm on native mode , cheers.
