    ihas124 B freezing problem

Just got my lite on iHAS124B today and followed the tut (way 2) from here, everything went smoothly, backed up, flashed, job done.

Im using the other disks tho that are the Aone gold edition and I got different firmware for those disks, finally did all the minor tuning in imgburn, select the game that i wanted to burn, it starts but gets up to the bit saying "writing lead in" then freezes 1min 16sec into it? Tryed this 4 times now and same.

Therefore I have to poweroff PC to get out of it?

what am I doing wrong here guys? im running xp pro by the way.

any help much appreciated here guys, im dieing to play this game now but cant!!!!

Just try another connection. also try unplugging other stuff connected to the board.

You could also try reverting back to stock see if jt leads in

will give that a try, i have a HTPC downstairs running windows 7 x64 so may give it a shot in that.

            Whats jt by the way?

            PS
I had as normal pioneer rw drive running before this one and that worked fine, put this one in and its glitching slightly.

Right I have changed the sata cable going to the ihas drive so first off i thought i would try burning a wii game first see if that will work. burns 100% no probs!!

Tried burning a xbox game, it starts to burn but now gets to 50% then stops and gives me a failed message?

Is there another setting that I have missed guys?

Did you change the sata power cable aswell?

50% is @ layer break. I've also seen this with aone discs. I suggest VERBS

On the back of the drive there is the SATA DATA cable

                          And sata POWER cable

Try another power cable from the PSU.

I had this with some aone's a while back and was a bad batch failling at layer break (50%)

Do you think its a good idea to try this drive in another pc?

I have a HTPC in the front room and its a beast, if it still is failing at 50% in that then i know its something else?

Also my mate has a few verbs which i could also borrow to try.
