    Kamikaze hack in Liverpool?

I've a spare slim that's not getting used as it's not flashable. Was wondering if there's anyone in Liverpool who can perform the Kamikaze hack for me. Worst case scenario, it continues to be unused. Anyone help?

Not sure what drive-how would I check? As for the new PCB, I'm thinking I've nothing to lose trying this first. If it doesn't work it wouldn't stop me from fitting a new one would it?

I seen an add on "fleabay" for an " unlocked pcb " which would suit the older slims - only ?15 but you have to also give him your locked pcb, check it out, not a bad deal.

Sounds like very good deal. Am I right in thinking I've got nothing to lose in trying the hack though? I'm not using the box at the moment so if it doesn't work it's no big deal and then I could look at getting a new PCB. Just looking for the cheapest option at the moment.

If you find someone who works with xbox's and has done it successfully before then go ahead , if it does go tits up then as you say you can buy a replacement one already unlocked.

Exactly. Only problem is finding someone to do it for me. I have faith the forum will provide though.

                Liteon DG-16D4S - Unlocked Replacement PCB - ModTraders.co.uk

                Liteon DG-16D4S XBOX 360 Slim DVD Rom - 360 Spare Parts - Xbox 360 - ModTraders.co.uk

                Couple of options.

I could locate someone for you, but the replacemnt PCB offers allot easier methods for future flashing.

Are you sure you have the Winbond SPI or the MCIX?

Again, I have to claim ignorance. All I know is I stupidly updated my dashboard over Live when I first got this box. I assumed that meant I had locked out any firmware changes. Is this not always the case with slims?

Yeah you will have if it was a 9504 revision, others are pre locked.

My advice, hook your drive upto a pc, run jungleflasher and find out what SPI you have, the MCIX SPI has a easier unlock methed

Also xecuter have released a new revision of unlocked PCB

Thanks for that. Think I've been talked out of taking a drill to my Xbox though. Gonna go down the replacement PCB route eventually. Sure I'll be back with more questions then. Cheers.
