    XBOX connection puzzle?

I am presently on 30mg broadband, a young lad called up recently and installed a wireless extender. I live in a bungalow, between my room and living room is the hall, the extender is also in my room, the routre is now positioned in a spot in the living where there are no obstacles aside from the the walls between my room and living room. Anyway the extender was installed because i got a lot of buffering when viewing skygo on XBOX. Now to the problem I'm having. I set up a wireless connection for the XBOX in the living room so that if i ever chose to i could bring the consul into the other room, but i cannot get a signal despite the wireless connection showing full bars, yet despite hitting default and installing WPA pass phrase i am not getting connected. Whats even odder is i am getting a signal from a family who live about 50ft away, but the signal isn't strong enough to prevent the buffering. I know the extender is working as the all my networking is going like lightning should it be surfing or streaming. Any ideas guys. Just brought it (xbox) back into living room and its working fine. Sorry this post a bit long winded but i want to put you in the picture. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR REPLIES.

Unless you have lead walls mate I would say the problem is with set up especially as you have full bars on wi fi. If you continue to have this problem I would get powerline adapters I use tp link 200 you can get them at pc world for ?32 just now. HTH

I am totaly baffled by this. I 've gone from a dodgy network to none. Bit of a mystery. Fair enough they walls like my self are quite thick, but i had all the doors open , still nothing. Thanks for your post . My son in law comin up to morrow i'll see what he thinks.Thank you for your suggestion.

Well guys the mystery of why the XBOX wouldn't connect in bedroom (wirelessly) despite it working fine (wirelessly) in the living room was, because the wireless extender was to strong. I relocated the wireless extender into the hall and it ( XBOX) is working fine and it isn;t buffering when using skygo. So me is a happy chappy.

Did my head in, thought that might be the cause , but decided i was being daft. Colin came up unplugged it . And the rest is history.
