IMGBURN error "not enough space on disk"

i have a .dvd and .iso game file.

but when using IMGBURN i get a error "not enough space on disk, do you want to continue ?"

I have tried a few disk but get a fail every time.

Is the something I should be doing before burning this type of file?

What size are the files? You may need dual layer discs, I think a standard dvd has a capacity of around 4.3gb. I would try a different application first.

That's an XGD3 ISO. XGD3 is one of M$'s attempts to combat exactly what you're trying to do: the developers can now build games that are too large to burn to a standard dual layer DVD with a stock burner. In order to burn all the data to the disc you would need to use a Liteon b-series iHAS burner with Verbatim media. I've tried with other media types and have never got one to boot and play.

The other method that's potentially open to you is to truncate the burn - discard the last 3% of data that won't otherwise fit on the disc. This may not work depending on what game you're trying to burn.

A liteon ihas writer is recommended however u can burn with normal writers using truncate method(for xgd3) but it wont be live safe. For ur problem free up some space and then try this:
            Goto imgburn settings>I/O>page 2
and from there increase the buffer size.
make sure there is not much activity going on in the source hdd.
