phat xbox 360 liteon flash help

i have one of my friends phat xbox 360's which has a lite on dvd drive
now before i updated the dashboard the fw was 74850c
after i updated the dashboard the fw has gone to 2510c
trying to follow jf's tut but cant get head round it
i dont have a probes but would like to flash this without spend any money on as my friend has bought a new slim xbox and doesnt need this one no more
any help would be great thanks

You should buy the probe, its cheap as chips and will do most if not all of them for you. i think you need a probe v3 for 2510c
