I hope this helps some of you who cant update your own firmwares

There's a method out there using Muleter and abgx - quite long process though - This patch is as easy as a 2 clicks of mouse.

1-Simply launch ppf-o-matic3.exe
2-Select your ISO
3-Select patch v14-15.ppf
4-Apply
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RUN THE ISO THROUGH ABGX AFTER PATCHING, THE GAME WONT BOOT
PATCH --> BURN --> PLAY
MAKE A BACKUP OF THE ISO BEFORE PATCHING IN CASE YOU ~~~~ THINGS UP
I don't really know what the patch technically does, all i know is that it worked here and i was able to play TC's HAWX AND Guitar Hero: Metallica on my benQ and hitachi IX1.41
I recommend you upgrade your firmware to 1.51 if you want the real deal...
This patch is to be considered as a temporary solution
AGAIN DO NOT PLAY LIVE WITH IT
this removes the wav3 on the iso
so its playable on 1.41 fw
of course its a ban magnet
but its recOmmend for banned consoles
or as theory goes play it on offline profile

Hi Ricky,

Thank you for your great info on wave 3 patching.
I am trying to patch Wanted which is Wave 3, just wondering on the order of which i should do things.

Should i stealth patch the iso with the ss.bin, pfi etc with dvdxmulleter, then use the wave 3 patcher afterwards?

I just did exactly what you have written (Patch - Burn with ImgBurn at 2.4x) when I then insert it on my xbox360 its says that I need to "update this version of ... to play this game". So I'm woundering what did I do wrong? I have firmware 1.4 and have been able to play wave 2 games.

I'v used 3 verbatim discs now, so I really need help with this. Thanx!!

i just used it yesterday for sacered 2 and it asked me if i wanted to update as well but i said no and then it took me back out to the main screen and then i clicked it again and it runs just fine . but it still asks me to update every time just clicj no

you can patch them but then you cant play the games online on Xbox Live or they'll track you easier because of the patch.

i 4 got to back up the game and now it don't work on my xbox i done the patch to the game 4 some 1 else is there a way around it please help b4 i download again

I tryed again with Bionic commando, it ask me to update twice I clicked no two times and the it took me to main screem, so I tryed again it happens the same thing again and again all the time.

Maybe I burned it wrong? I used ImgBurn at 2.4x with verbatim discs.

ok i downloaded the game through soup got it home downloded the patcher ran the patcher ran it thought the mulleter and it said the patch didnt take so i had to run it again and again finnally it took i guess cause it ran though the mulleter and it said it was compatible woot burnt it the first time and it failed with an error ran it again in image burn and this time clicked the iso . it then told me i should have clicked the dvd. and it would help me and select it for me i said yes and then burnt it after it burnt put it in the console it asked my to update the sys i said yes to the sys update it ran fine and updated to the new console and avatar and all that crap whent into the new console clicked the game it asked to update i said yes it said it was dirty and scratched so i resatrted and it asked again i said no and it whent to the main screen i clicked it again and it starts for me . if you are having alot of probs get the new ixtream 1.6 or 1.51 and update your drive with tool box i have done it several times on other consoles just got lazy with home and will do it later on it does take time if you hasve more ? just ask

Does not work

I did everything above. I tried this with Fight Night 4. I have iextreme 1.41. I appled the fix above and got the 360 to at least be able to see the game. When I try to play it, it ask to update or you will not be able to play game.

NOW I said no a million times. Took in and out disc. I tried even saying yes but of cause that would not work.

NO matter how many times I said no and tried to play game would it work.

I don't know how a few said they said no no and then it worked. Because it does not.

Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

Cunny, i don't like this new dashboard and it just came up by itself. Is there a way I could go back to the orginal dashboard. If so how do I do this.

Cunny, do you think this new dashboard is why my no's are not working and alowing me to play game.

I just tried to play some older games and they do not work anymore because of this new dashboard. I did not ask for this new dashboard. How did it get updated on my xbox. I not even connected to internet.

Is there anyway to go back to old dashboard. Thanks.
