no video output or sound

hi guys i have in front of me my mates sons faulty xbox360 as you can imagine the lad is missing his xbox so i said i would have a look at it when i plug it in theres no video or sound but theres no red rings on the console i'm pretty good at repairing all sorts just wondered wether it would be the same fix for the 3 red rings or am i waisting my time

i think its the lead to the tv from the xbox ask 1 of your friends who lives by you 2 try theres in it that might be it mate

yer its either that or the hama (video chip)

thanks guys but i've tried it with my own lead and made sure its fully inserted still no video output is it fixable maybe the xclamp needs to be removed and cleaned up with some new compound let me no if i'm waisting my time cheers guys

i dont think the xclamp fix will sort it
but the way to look at it is that well its not working anyway so you would have nothing to lose if you try it

DO NOT USE TOWEL TRICK
all you will do is create more problems
but like i said you have got nothing to lose buy trying the xclamp replacement .........

most of the vids on youtube are crap
although there are a few good ones

hi chaps just to update you i have done the fix with the new compound and screws all good so it seems i have overheated the gpu to get the 2 red rings cooled it down then turned it back on and still get 3 red rings any suggestions cheers guys

the screws might be to tight or lose try that it says in the video

another update i backed the screws off a touch and voila it works thanks for all your help guys
