My xbox keeps on giving me the open tray error when reading discs , and i dont want to attempt to replace the laser, too difficult.My drive is a DG-16DS2 (74850) .But because of the fw updating this to a 02510C im not sure what drive to replace it with could someone point me in the right direction as in which drive i need to buy this would be very much appreciated

Any DG-16D2S drive regardless of the firmware as you will be putting your own on

Just buy the same drive model and you dump your current firmware to put on that drive.
