mixed media disc

Hi all
am tring to run the update from cd put evertime i put the cd into the xbox all it says is mixed media disc, there is no way i can update it
any help would be great thanks

That message is normal for an update CD. To run the update you need to restart the box with the CD in the drive. If it still does not work, check you have the correct structure of files on the CD, in the root dir of the CD should be the $systemupdate folder and a file called default.xex (if this file is missing the CD wont Load).
