Liteon help

Hi i wanted to have a go at flashing my liteon drive and dont have a clue all i have is my pc and 360 and sata cable. which kit is best to buy and where from bearing in mind i carnt solder.and is there a step by step guide many thx to anyone that can help

i bought the connectivity kit v3 lite then bought the probe for getting the key off the liteon, works great i also bought a pci sata card for them.

All in all it cost me about ?40

try kanection they have a ck3 bundle for under ?36,you will also find a few guides on this site.the jungle flasher works fine with most chipsets. if no drive detected then make sure you have installed the PortIO32.dll,most say they cant see their drive but all they have to do is install xbox360 I/0 device drivers.hope this helps

jungleflasher guide covers them all, as for chipsets get a VIA VT 6421 PCI card but beware of the vt freeze, i use jungleflasher until i come to erase/write to the drive, i then use dosflash for that.

Via 6421 with the Via drivers uninstalled = No freeze.

The portio driver that comes with jungleflasher is all that's needed to controll the VIA 6421.

Thats true but i found this method quite easy and Jungleflsher has bricked 1 drive on me so i stick to what i know works well.

CK3 and try using the iprep via usb to firmware flash, more reliable than jungleflasher
