LT3.0 + Going Online on XBL?

Can I connect to XBL and download game updates and download DLC when my 360 is flashed to LT3.0?


I'm getting Mass Effect soon and I wanna download the extended cut amongst the other DLC... I wont be playing online games, but I just wanna download dlc and get updates... Is that safe or will it brick my 360?

I was told by the guy who flashed it for me not to go online what so ever and to never update to a newer dashboard.

Lt3.0 is the safest cfw out. If your scared of being banned. Dont hse cfw simple. Also bad burns and ap2.5 failures can lead to bans and flags

Title updates an dlc should be fine its dashboard updates you need to revert to stock for.

So I just tried logging into XBL and I get a message about a new dashboard update.... This means that I wont be able to get any DLC at all right? because having to log on would mean updating the dashboard and that would get rid of LT3.0?

Yes. You would revert your drive back to stock firmware, update, then go back on lt3.0. Or just risk it. I know of people who do risk it but personally, i always revert to stock firmware so i tell people to

If you download the update on to a USB stick and plug into ur Xbox you won't need to re flash....

I have no way of reflashing back to stock because someone in another country did it for me and there's no way for me to order the necessary parts online into my country.

So you're telling me that it's pretty much a huge risk for me update it to the latest dashboard while on LT3.0? .... What happens if I do update it? ... Does my system get bricked completely or am I just banned from playing online? ...

I dont care about playing online.. I just care about having a working system/ LT3.0 and being able to download dlc/updates.

Can you tell me the dash version? Its under console settings

If your above 2.0.13146.0 then it should not brick the console. As for banning you, its a risk you would have to take if you cant revert to stock to run the update.

What exactly does a ban do anyway.. I just cant play it online (but able to download dlc etc?).

More importantly, will this get rid of my LT 3.0 because I dont want to download it if does that because I'll have no idea when I'll be able to go abroad to get it flashed again.

It should not reflash the drive as it should have been done so lt3.0 should stay on.

The rsk is if you get banned you wont be able to connect to live at all for downloads anything again

I know its right to put back to stock fw, download dash update and then re-flash or its possible a risk of a ban but personally I dont bother - living on the edge

I've done this for a few years now and not had a problem, thats a risk I take, maybe just lucky, so i'm definately NOT saying you should aswell but if you do then thats the risk YOU take
