    Spoofing a BenQ to a Hitachi 59

I am trying to replace a faulty Hitachi 59 drive in a friends xbox. I have a spare Benq drive that I spoofed to the 59 but when I try and play a backup of Black Ops 2 the xbox freezes and then I get the 1 red light error.Do I need to replace the drive with another Hitachi or am I doing something wrongAny help/ideas will be appreciated

Needs to be like for like. Spoofing is no longer supported.

I had a hitachi 46 come to me last xmas an was playing about. Similar results as youself.

Ended up changing laser to repair tbe hitachi

      Thanks Cunny

I changed the laser and made no difference, I know the back ups are fine as I have tested them and they work on all other machines.

Just got to try and find a new drive and tell my mate the bad news

        Do any other backups work?

And was the anti static solder removed ok?

No backups are working on the Hitachi, this is the second laser I have put into the drive with the anti static solder removed with no joy. I think its the board that's faulty so I think its a new drive is required
