i read on a site if you use stealth patch and it make the iso ixtream compatible so does that mean it will play on all xbox 360's
please help

Nope. Unmodified ones will only play originals

thats not what i mean its been flashed but no new games work so if i can make the game ixtream compatible will it work on my mates xbox he has got it flashed cuz i took it 4 him but no new games work please help and thanks

Sound like old firmware, as stated in abgx if its a wave 3 game then you need ixtreame 1.51 + to play wave 3.

You can patch them to wave 2 if needed, or just reflash the box with an unstealthed firmware.

The year of manufacture is only relavent to identify the drive and other hardware. You wont be able to identify firmware without hooking it up to a pc via the sata.

If your on 1.4 then i would suggest an update to 1.6 for all drives apart from the hitachi what is still at 1.51, these are wave 3 compatable firmwares.

If your unsure on how to do this then pm me once you have identified the drive inside the machine.

You could patch the games to wave 2 but i would not use live if you do that.

Going off your dates, you will have hitchi and your mate will prob have liteon if its after aug 08

IF the liteon has been flashed then all you will need to do is hook it up to a via card and read the firmware off it to obtain the key.

Yours if it is hitachi then it will be a bit trickier due to having to restore the original firmware then flash the box with a higher firmware.

All this can be done through the junglflasher app.

The update is probably the new dashboard.

There is a thread on here on how to patch the games. Or use google.

As for chipset, get a via card, they are found on ebay for about ?12. Or you could send me the drives to do.
